Plans announced to extend hi-speed rail service across San Bernardino County
RANCHO CUCAMOMNGA – (INT) – Caltrans has posted a Notice of Intent to extend the proposed Brightline West hi-speed passenger rail system from Apple Valley to Rancho Cucamonga.

Dubbed the Cajon Pass segment, it would add 50 miles within the existing I-15 corridor right of way, ending with a station constructed adjacent or connected to the Rancho Cucamonga Metrolink train station.

The independent and privately funded electric rail system would initially connect Apple Valley to Las Vegas over 170 miles of track.

During a 15-day Notice of Intent period ending April 13th, the public and stakeholders can provide feedback about the Cajon Pass segment.
