FONTANA – (INT) – Police in Fontana and Rialto have mounted a joint investigation into a missing persons report and human remains exhumed from a backyard grave.

Investigators have not disclosed who is missing or the identity of the remains recovered from the grave on Barbee Avenue in Fontana.

Fontana detectives assumed the investigation after being tipped off about the shallow grave.

They obtained a search warrant and removed the body on Thursday.

At last report, there had been no arrests.
