Aftershocks follow earthquake near SoFi Stadium
INGLEWOOD – (INT) – A flurry of minor aftershocks is being recorded following Monday morning’s M4.0 earthquake beneath a heavily urbanized area of Los Angeles County.

Many people throughout the Los Angeles Basin were awakened by the initial jolt at 4:44am.

The epicenter was placed about a mile east of Lennox in the Inglewood area at a depth of 12-miles.

Most of the aftershocks are too weak to be felt.

Seismologist Lucy Jones wrote that the quake was not on any mapped fault and that the subterranean movement was not ‘strike-slip’ but rather an upward thrust.

There was no reported damage.
