INLAND EMPIRE – Area colleges and universities will receive millions under the American Rescue Plan.

UC Riverside will get more than half of the $171 million announced Thursday for five colleges in Riverside County.
• University of California, Riverside: $81,467,469
• Riverside City College: $43,059,785
• California Baptist University: $24,191,743
• Moreno Valley College: $16,546,674
• La Sierra University: $6,343,594

“Students have experienced a tumultuous school year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to adjust to virtual learning, but we must ensure that colleges and universities are fully equipped to provide students with the quality education they deserve and the financial aid they need,” said Rep. Mark Takano D-Riverside.
