Deadly weekend traffic incidents investigated
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – At least seven persons were fatal victims of weekend vehicle accidents across the inland Empire.

Two lives were lost in a fiery collision Sunday afternoon on San Timoteo Canyon Road near Redlands. The California Highway Patrol said two people were ejected from a vehicle that caught fire.

Riverside police say that alcohol was a factor when a truckdriver rear-ended a motorcycle killing its rider early Sunday. The crash occurred on Indiana Avenue at Van Buren Boulevard. The identity of the motorcyclist wasn’t immediately released.

On Saturday in Hesperia, 10-year-old Alexander Jacob Westendorf of Hesperia was killed in a single-vehicle accident on the I-15 near Main Street.

In Jurupa Valley, Nathaly Lopez Millan, 28, of Bloomington died Saturday when her speeding car crashed into a UPS delivery truck on Armstrong Road in the Sunnyslope area.

In Murrieta, the coroner identified another traffic fatality as Amarpaul Gill, age 23. The Murrieta man was fatally injured at an intersection on Meadowlark Lane Friday night.

In the Coachella Valley, an early Saturday morning accident killed Dalia Valle, 26, of Cathedral City.

Authorities say that all the fatal incidents are under investigation.
