County of Riverside landlord incentive program
RIVERSIDE – (INT) – Landlords --- and renters alike --- have financially suffered through the pandemic.

A new payment incentive program has been launched to aid in affordable housing.

It’s aimed at increasing affordable housing options for Housing Choice Voucher families throughout Riverside County. The program goal is to promote new landlord relationships and further support to existing landlords by offering an incentive payment to participate in the Housing Choice Voucher, a tenant-based program.

The incentives include a one-time payment of $2,500 to landlords who are new to the Housing Choice Voucher Program or have been inactive for the last 12 months. Another option is $500 per unit to existing landlords who lease a unit to a Housing Choice Voucher participant.

County officials say they want to further the investment of property owners willing to help individuals who need affordable housing.
