Vandalism, arson figure in Lake Arrowhead Marina fire
LAKE ARROWHEAD (INT) Arson has figured in the cause of the early Friday morning fire that damaged or destroyed a dozen boats at the Lake Arrowhead Marina.

Investigators said Saturday they found evidence of theft and vandalism in several boats. Losses to the boats and docks were estimated at $2 million.

Firefighters kept flames from several docks and more than thirty other boats.

Investigators have issued a plea for information that could lead to possible suspects.

The fire was knocked down in 20 minutes but not before flames burned through the dock lines setting free several flaming vessels.

There was major fire damage to the dock.

San Bernardino County Haz-Mat personnel responded to contain potential fluids and other hazards that may impact the lake.

Firefighters trained in shipboard firefighting responded with a specially-equipped fire boat and pump.
