Study: Best and worst cities to rent
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – San Bernardino has landed among the nation’s five worst cities to rent a residence.

WalletHub compared more than 182 rental markets based on 22 key measures of rental attractiveness and quality of life.

Among the factors that figured in the conclusions were historical price changes, the cost of living and job availability.

WalletHub compared the difference between rental rates and mortgage payments.

San Bernardino placed 178th with New Orleans, Memphis, Detroit and Huntington, West Virginia rounding out the bottom of the chart.

Other California cities among the worst to rent were Santa Ana, Oakland, Stockton and Modesto.

On the flip side, the top five cities in the nation with the highest rental scores were in the Midwest.
