Face mask guidance gets local rubberstamp
RIVERSIDE – (INT) – County health officials are echoing the updated face mask guidance issued by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention and the California Department of Public Health.

COVID-19 cases are on the upswing locally and across the nation. Health officials are mounting a renewed effort to slow the pandemic and prevent the Delta variant from getting a foothold.

The Riverside County Public Health Department recommends following the new state and federal guidance for face coverings. That means vaccinated individuals should wear face masks in public indoor settings. It applies to unvaccinated individuals, as well.

As the impact of the Delta variant increases transmissibility, Riverside County health officials continue to stress that getting vaccinated is the best protection against the virus and its variants.
