Climate Prediction Center issues autumn outlook
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – Summer’s hot, dry weather may have set the stage for what’s to come.

The Climate Prediction Center is projecting better than average chances of warmer and drier than normal weather for the next 3-months and beyond.

In fact, that applies to Southern California and the entire Southwest.

A large swath of the West except for the Pacific Northwest is likely to fall short of average precipitation. There is up to a 50% chance that temperatures will be above normal, the Climate Prediction Center said.
