Public hearings launch reapportionment process
RIVERSIDE – (INT) – With results of the 2020 Census in hand, the process of political redistricting is beginning.

Census data revealed that Riverside County has grown by more than 10 percent – more than double the growth of neighboring counties in Southern California. Following this data, the County of Riverside is charged with redistricting the county’s supervisorial district boundaries.

Residents are encouraged to get involved in the reapportionment process.

A public hearing for the county board of supervisors’ redistricting efforts is set for Tuesday, September 28th.

Community members may draw suggested boundary lines and submit online using the online feedback tool. Find more information online at RivCo.org, under Redistricting.

Additional input is welcomed in October and November including another public hearing slated for October 19th.
