Research: Folks in Fontana are breathing easier
FONTANA – (INT) – City leaders are touting new research findings which show that local air quality has improved dramatically the past 20 years.

The consulting firm Ramboll found that ozone exposure, nitrogen dioxide concentration, and particulate matter in Fontana are below the federal standards. Additionally, the air toxic cancer risk has decreased by 76% from 1998 to 2018 and is expected to decrease an additional 20% by 2023.

“One of the City Council's most important goals is to preserve the local environment for generations to come and to create a healthy economic and environmental future,” stated Mayor Acquanetta Warren.

The mayor praised the air quality assessment work of Ramboll, “a world-renowned consultancy”.
