Vaccines: Have’s and have not’s grow wider SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – The most recent statistics show that one-third of San Bernardino County residents over age 12 have not received any COVID-19 vaccines.
However, as of September 23rd nearly 56% have been fully vaccinated, according to the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health. As of September 24th, according to the CDC, 83.4% of eligible Californians have received at least one dose. Vaccinations are expected to ramp up again as eligibility widens with boosters and if children ages 5 to 11 become eligible for vaccines. The County encourages healthcare providers to help administer shots to their patients. COVID-19 vaccine providers do not have to be limited to a pharmacy or hospital. Any doctor’s office, skilled nursing facility, clinic or even school can sign up to be a COVID-19 vaccine provider. The COVID-19 vaccines are provided at 100% no cost to recipients.
