Riverside County traffic mishaps claim six lives
INLAND EMPIRE (INT) Two pedestrians and a motorcyclist were among six persons killed on Riverside County streets and freeways over the 3-day Columbus Day holiday.

One of the pedestrians, Primitivo Martinez, 69, was run over by a tow truck making a left turn at a Moreno Valley intersection that had no without designated crosswalks. Investigators said the tow truck driver was blinded by intense sunlight.

In Riverside, a hit-and-run motorcyclist is suspected in the death of a woman as she walked across an intersection on Van Buren Boulevard.

Accidents on Riverside County freeways claimed three lives. All the incidents involved single vehicles. One motorist was killed in a fiery crash of Freeway 60 at the Riverside-Moreno Valley city limits. Another driver crashed into a center media guardrail on the I-15 at Glen Ivy. And in Perris, Hannah Marie Mesa, 29, of Menifee was killed when the vehicle in which she was a passenger overturned on a curve on the I-215.

Also in Perris, Jesse Mancilla, 18, lost his life when his motorcycle crashed in a construction zone near a marijuana dispensary on Rider Street.
