San Bernardino County launches in-person vaccination campaign SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – One-third of San Bernardino County residents aged 12 and above have not received a single vaccine shot against the COVID-19 virus. A ‘Health Ambassador’ program has been launched to improve the numbers.
San Bernardino County is the first in California to assemble a team of health professionals who are fanning out across the county with in-person outreach through education presentations and informational booths. Since September the team has logged 2,385 personal conversations about the coronavirus. As a result, 43% of unvaccinated individuals said they are more likely to get a vaccine shot.
