Feeding America tackles holiday hunger
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) - Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino (FARSB) is preparing for a surge in demand and price as the holiday season approaches.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture determined that food-at-home prices are expected to increase between 2.5 and 3.5 percent.

“This has greatly affected families who are finding themselves unable to afford holiday meals, as well as those who already struggle to afford a meal. In an effort to assist struggling families, we will be providing over 1,400 turkeys throughout the community,” said Feeding America CEO Stephanie Otero.

Feeding America handed out 400 turkeys and fixings to pre-registered guests during their Thanksgiving Drive Thru event on November 19th.
