Riverside County authorities have used forensic genealogy to reopen a ‘cold case’ murder. With the results of a DNA sample, the district attorney’s office announced Monday that a body exhumed from a desert grave near Thousand Palms in 1994 was that of Patricia Cavallaro. She was age 57 at the time and resided in Bellflower. She was not reported missing until 2001. (INT)
