ACSC: Record high gasoline prices may be running on fumes
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – The ‘pain at the pump’ may be easing if wholesale gasoline prices are any indication.

The Automobile Club of Southern California (ACSC) reports that wholesale prices have backed down from their highest levels of the year. However, relief may not be immediately noticeable.

Gas stations are still catching up with the increases caused by statewide supply issues and high oil prices that have since eased a tad.

2021 has become the most expensive for Southland motorists. 2012 previously held that distinction.

The statewide average for a gallon of 87 octane regular is currently $4.70. In Riverside, it’s $4.61 which is $1.51 above last year.
