Adelanto fire traced to butane extraction lab, two arrested
ADELANTO – (INT) – A 2-alarm fire in an Adelanto commercial yard was ‘knocked down’ Wednesday night about 4-hours after it was first reported.

The blaze sent a towering column of smoke skyward that was seen over a wide area of the Victor Valley just before sunset.

Fire crews from Victorville and Apple Valley assisted the San Bernardino County Fire Department pouring large amounts of water on the flames in the 18100 block of Baldwin Street.

The fire was stopped before reaching nearby homes and a strip mall.

Investigators announced Thursday they arrested two men on suspicion of operating a butane extraction lab where the fire started. A large quantity of processed marijuana was found at the scene.
