Alleged child abuse cases unfolding in Redlands, Rancho Cucamonga
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Three suspects have been accused in alleged cases of child abuse.

Sheriff’s investigators believe that a Redlands school teacher may have sexually abused other children while working at Clement Middle School.

Joseph Nardella was being held on $350,000 bail following his arrest last Thursday. An 18-year-old boy alleges he was abused over a 5-year period.

Nardella is on paid administrative leave.

In Rancho Cucamonga, another child abuse case is unfolding against two women.

Rudie Megan Maldonado and Felicia Ann Ferra allegedly conspired to conceal a skull fracture suffered by an 8-month-old infant who attended the Kiddie Academy.

The arrests capped an investigation that began last September when the victim was taken to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Loma Linda University Medical Center.

Circumstances that led to the infant’s injuries were not disclosed. His current condition was not released.

Sheriff’s detectives say there may be additional victims.
