Events, government closures mark MLK Remembrance Day INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Government offices that haven’t been closed because of the coronavirus are shuttered today in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
All schools, colleges and libraries are dark. Banks and local financial institutions are closed. There is no mail delivery and post offices are closed. Most transportation agencies serving the Inland Empire are offering regular service and retail shops and malls are open. MLK memorials are planned but most will be online. In Riverside, the annual Martin Luther King walk-a-thon was cancelled. Story Date: January 17, 2022
