March Air Reserve Base selected for next generation of air tankers
MARCH AIR RESERVE BASE – (INT) – The Air Force has selected March Air Reserve Base (MARB) to host a contingent of the new KC-46A refueling tankers.

Twelve Pegasus aircraft will replace the aging KC 135s that have been a mainstay at MARB for decades.

The decision announced Monday capped a prolonged effort by senior military leaders, members of Congress and local stakeholders advocating for MARB as a strategic location for the next generation of air tankers.

As Congressman Ken Calvert (R-Corona) put it: “Our region and the Defense Department have made critical investments in and around March ARB, putting it in an excellent position to play a vital role in the defense of our country well into the future.”
