Windstorm damage becoming more evident UPLAND – (INT) – The extent of damage to the environment and public utilities from the January 20-21 windstorm is becoming more evident.
All-risk handcrews from the San Bernardino County Fire Department continue assisting in the removal of hazardous trees, cleaning up streets and with general clean-up in Upland and San Antonio Heights. A 14-member crew worked two days with specialized equipment to mitigate hazards at more than sixty sites. Sustained gale-force winds with gusts to 86 miles an hour brought down trees and utility poles and damaged private property from Rancho Cucamonga to Claremont. Story Date: January 28, 2022
