Plan addresses power outage emergencies ![]() NORTH SHORE – (INT) – Residents living in one of the hottest places in the country are getting some reassurances about future power outage emergencies.
Summertime temperatures in the Coachella Valley frequently exceed 120 degrees. Storms last year cut power to the North Shore area for several days. Riverside County has set forth a 19-page document pledging a partnership with the Imperial Irrigation District and other agencies on how to recover from prolonged power failure emergencies. County Supervisor V. Manuel Perez said “Our past experiences have taught us how to quickly mobilize, coordinate with agencies, and deploy resources and services such as food, shelter and transportation.” Story Date: May 15, 2022
