Plan announced for school district leadership
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – Following the June 30th departure of San Bernardino School Superintendent Doc Ervin, the daily operations of the state’s seventh largest school district will be in the hands of a 4-member executive leadership team.

Each will alternate monthly to serve as interim superintendent.

The search for Ervin’s replacement will resume after the November election when four seats on the school district governing board are filled.

Going forward, candidates will be interviewed in January with the goal of appointing the next superintendent no later than July 2023.

School board president Dr. Scott Wyatt offered assurances that instruction will move forward under the leadership plan announced Wednesday June 22nd.
