Task force aims to protect children from violent crimes
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – A task force formed to combat violent crimes against children has scored an initial success.

Search warrants served across the Inland Empire have netted the arrest of seven suspects.

The campaign dubbed Operation Inland Regional Round-up involved the FBI and police agencies in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

Authorities said one of the goals of the Inland Regional Child Exploitation and HT Task Force is to enhance the effectiveness of law enforcement working together.

In Chino, Paul Minjarez, 64, of Riverside is under arrest on suspicion of crimes against four children, aged 5 to 14. Investigators accuse Minjarez of taking inappropriate photos, sexually molested four victims, and raping one victim.
