Metrolink aims for improved passenger comforts
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – Metrolink has begun refurbishing fifty of its passenger train cars.

Upgrades will make the train cars easier to clean, such as vinyl seating and non-carpeted flooring, enhanced air filtration and UV lighting for bacteria, air pollutant and virus protection.

New energy-efficient lighting and bathrooms with a modern look and better odor control are being added, Metrolink said.

There will be “charging ports at each seat, and a number of enhancements providing passengers with a safer and more comfortable ride with elevated amenities,” Metrolink CEO Darren Kettle said.
