Moreno Valley apartment fire displaces 70
MORENO VALLEY – (INT) – The Red Cross is assisting 70 adults and children displaced by a Wednesday evening apartment fire.

There were no injuries. But, four units were destroyed and five others damaged by fire. Additional water damage to the remaining units left the 2-story building on Heacock Street uninhabitable, CalFire said. Utilities were disconnected.

The 4-alarm fire brought an assortment of fire fighting personnel to the scene from as far away as Riverside, Murrieta, Corona and Colton.

Although the cause is under investigation, the origin appeared to be in the attic of the 2-story manufactured building.
