‘Arrow’ simulates pending rail service
REDLANDS – (INT) – The Arrow is running but the rail service connecting Redlands and San Bernardino is only ‘simulated’.

There are no passengers as the trains are testing the tracks, signals at crossings and communications systems along the 9-mile route.

The simulated runs using Diesel Multiple Units began Monday and will continue weekdays until full service starts up later this fall.

The San Bernardino County Transportation Authority began construction of the Arrow in 2018. It involved replacement of all track, rebuilding five bridges and installing 24 grade crossings.

The Arrow will run between the San Bernardino Transit Center located at Rialto Avenue and E Street in downtown San Bernardino and will terminate at the University of Redlands.
