New booster fights Omnicron variant SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – The new COVID-19 booster has arrived in the Inland Empire.
It’s being offered at all San Bernardino County vaccination sites. Because it is a bi-valent vaccine, it targets the Omnicron variant as well as the previous strains. Health officials say everyone 12-years of age and older is eligible to receive the bi-valent booster. For those who have been twice-boosted, it’s suggested they wait two months since the last original booster to get the newest version. The highly transmissible Omicron variant is being detected in most COVID-19 cases. Story Date: October 1, 2022
