Inland Empire job growth surges, pandemic job losses regained
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Job growth the past 12-months for Riverside and San Bernardino counties expanded by a respectable 5.8 percent. That translates to a payroll expansion of 91,900 employees.

Statewide, California has recovered 99 percent of the 2-point-7 million jobs lost at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. September was the 12th consecutive month that the state added jobs.

As for the local unemployment rate, the State Department of Employment (EDD) reports it fell to 3-point-9 percent in September only slightly above this year’s low of 3-point-4 percent in May. The EDD estimated the statewide jobless rate in September was also 3-point-9 percent.
