Snow-capped mountains beckon, winter sports come early
BIG BEAR – (INT) – Resorts in the San Bernardino Mountains are getting a jump start in downhill action.

An early season snowstorm and colder temperatures proved to be the perfect combination.

Visitors to Bear Mountain and Snow Summit at Big Bear were the first to hit the slopes over the weekend. Mountain High at Wrightwood followed suit.

Snow tubing at Alpine Slide at Big Bear is also a popular attraction.

Big Bear weather forecaster Ben Brissey says “There are no significant storms are on our horizon, but possibly some changes towards the Thanksgiving holiday. Snowmaking for local resorts will remain good during the overnight hours with round the clock snowmaking.”
