Former Louisiana politician named Riverside city manager ![]() RIVERSIDE – (INT) – A Bay Area city official has been tabbed to become Riverside’s next city manager.
It was announced Thursday November 17th that Mike Futrell will become Riverside’s chief executive when he takes over in January. Futrell will leave a similar position in South San Francisco that he has held the past 9-years. His experience includes Chief Administrative Officer for the city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, leading 4,600 city employees and managing a budget of $3 billion. Futrell is a former elected member of the Louisiana House of Representatives and the Baton Rouge City Council. Riverside Mayor Patricia Lock Dawson said. “Mike Futrell’s leadership and experience will be key to helping our city excel.” Futrell said he is “eager to become a part of the community and to work in partnership with the Mayor and City Council to move forward the vision for Riverside’s future.” Story Date: November 25, 2022
