MORENO VALLEY – (INT) – The shooting deaths of two women in Moreno Valley over the weekend tragically climaxed a case of domestic violence.

Sheriff’s investigators determined Monday that Salvador Velasquez had been in a custody dispute with Esmeralda Casillas, 36, the mother of their 7-year-old twin boys.

Velasquez is accused of shooting into a vehicle occupied by Casillas and her mother, Ofelia Esmeralda, age 68. Both women were killed.

Velasquez was identified and later arrested at his home in Coachella.
