How can California become a more affordable place to live?
SACRAMENTO – (INT) – One of the first bills to hit the hopper in Sacramento as the new Legislative year opens is aimed at reducing the cost of living in California.

Riverside County Assemblyman Dr. Corey Jackson wants to establish a so-called Affordable California Commission. It would study the causes and effects of the rising cost of living in California and to develop solutions toward making the state a more affordable place to live.

Jackson says under AB11 he’s “committed to working with my colleagues to address the affordability crisis in our State that is making it difficult for Californians to thrive."

Jackson plans a package of legislation to tackle the issues of cost of living, poverty, and systemic racism to ensure all Californians can prosper.

Jackson was elected to represent Moreno Valley, Perris, Hemet, San Jacinto, a small portion of Riverside, and the unincorporated areas of Mead Valley, Good Hope, Nuevo, and East Hemet.
