Jobs: The Inland Empire’s brightest economic highlight
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Increasing job growth was one of the Inland Empire’s economic highlights this year.

One sector with the biggest employment rate increase the past 12 months was Professional, Scientific & Technical Services with a gain of 13.4%.

On the flip side was the Inland Empire’s jobless rate which the State Employment Development reported was 4-point-2 percent in November maintaining the rate of the past 6-months.

Statewide, job growth continued for the fourteenth consecutive month in November, with 26,800 new jobs – as the state continues outpacing the nation’s job growth rate.

• California matched the largest pre-pandemic recorded year-over job growth rate, outpacing the nation, adding 675,000 jobs
• The state’s employment is at an all-time high
• Ten of California’s eleven major industries added jobs

Continued job growth was reflected across ten of California’s eleven major industries, with leisure and hospitality and education and health services adding the highest number of jobs.
