Is San Bernardino on the verge of a ‘building boom’?
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – The city of San Bernardino issued more than 6-thousand building permits in 2022. The total represents more than any recent year and reflects a nearly 43 percent increase.

The valuation of the permits exceeded 363-million dollars.
Mayor Helen Tran commented that “people are investing in San Bernardino. There is a great deal of opportunity here.”

Community, Housing, and Economic Development Agency Director Nathan Freeman said a One Stop Shop to speed up the development process is being launched.

Meantime, a draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) has revealed that 678 acres may be developed along Third and Sixth streets for a mega-business park adjacent to the San Bernardino International Airport extending into Highland.
