SOUTHLAND – (INT) – After a 2-week pause, gasoline prices are again headed downward.

In Riverside, the Automobile Club says the average per-gallon price is $4.36, which is13 cents lower than last month and 24 cents below a year ago. By comparison, the statewide average is $3.27.

One factor keeping prices down are the heavy rainstorms of the past week that have depressed gasoline demand.

The Energy Information Administration adds that the West Coast fuel inventory has increased.
