Inland Empire job growth unabated in 2023
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Figures on the Inland Empire’s job growth so far this year have been freshened up.

The State Employment Development Department reported Friday March 24th that Riverside and San Bernardino counties added 13-thousand jobs over the previous 12 months. Private education and health services added the most, more than 10-thousand.

In spite of the robust growth, February’s jobless rate rose for the second month in a row to 4.5 percent. That was still slightly less than the state rate of 4.8%.

Government added 6,600 Inland Empire jobs.

California has created more than 3 million jobs since April 2020 – the biggest hiring spree in the nation. But, at 4.3%, California's jobless rate is the 9th highest in the nation.
