Fontana police ‘solve’ 34-year-old homicide
FONTANA – (INT) – Fontana police said Thursday they’ve cracked a 34-year-old ‘cold case’ homicide.

The 1988 slaying of Angel Martinez had gone unsolved until repeated rounds of forensic testing lead detectives to Kelvin Keith Emmons, now 63.

Emmons was found living in De Pere, Wisconsin where he was arrested on March 15th.

Martinez’ wife reported her husband missing after he failed to meet with some ‘individuals’ in Fontana. His body was found in La Paz County, Arizona in June 1988.

Authorities did not explain a motive for his disappearance and murder.
