Diamond Valley Lake getting a fill-up
HEMET – (INT) - Diamond Valley Lake near Hemet, Southern California’s largest reservoir, is being refilled after the generous winter storms.

The depleted water storage in the lake could be nearly restored this year.

The Southland has survived the drought after three years of relying on stored reserves.

Without the 810,000 acre-foot reservoir, the Metropolitan Water District (MWD) says the impact of the drought would have been far worse.

Built in the late 1990’s, Diamond Valley Lake is only at 60% of capacity.
