Victims of Lakeview helicopter crash identified
LAKEVIEW – (INT) – The National Transportation Safety Board has taken over the investigation into Friday’s crash of a helicopter in a rural area east of Perris.

Two men were aboard the Bell 407 when it went down in the early afternoon on a hillside near near Chastity and Pulsar View roads in the unincorporated community of Lakeview. There were no survivors, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

The coroner identified the victims Saturday as Dennis Foster, 62, and Mark Carter, 61, both of Murrieta.

There were unconfirmed reports quoting a relative that the pilot volunteered his time and helicopter to fly human organs for a nonprofit organization.

The Bell 407 is used by law enforcement, air medical services and movie filming. It has four blades and a cruising speed of 153 miles an hour.

It was destroyed in the crash.
