Homelessness crossing all political jurisdictions
INLAND EMPIRE - (INT) - Riverside County Board of Supervisors unanimously agreed Tuesday to join an effort by the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) to advocate for statewide legislation to coordinate efforts to address homelessness across all jurisdictions.

The ‘supes’ reasoned that no one level of government is solely responsible for responding to the homelessness crisis.

Across the county line, San Bernardino County supervisors Tuesday agreed to leverage $72.7 million in federal, state and county resources to support the landmark 2022 Homeless Strategic Action Plan. It was approved approved by the board in June 2022.

As Supervisor Curt Hagman put it, "Thinking outside the box will link housing and other services to give people who are struggling a foundation of stability."
