![]() INLAND EMPIRE - (INT) - If forecasts pan out, this week will be a study in weather contrasts in Southern California.
KEY POINTS • Much colder today and Tuesday, with dangerous overnight wind chill values below zero in the San Bernardino County Mountains • Strong west to northwest winds on Monday, with damaging gusts possible in the mountains and deserts • Isolated light showers along and west of the mountains on Monday; light accumulations • Warmer Wednesday through next weekend A weather front hurtling down the California coast will deliver another scenario that’s become familiar in the Southland, windy and colder with chances of showers west of the mountains and a dusting of mountain snow. Today's High Wind Warning in the mountains and deserts applies through Tuesday. After the trough moves out Tuesday, forecast models bring clearing skies, abundant sunshine and a rapid warm-up that could push temperatures far above normal by Easter weekend. Forecasters predict that after today's weather front, dry weather should prevail through the first-half of next week. Story Date: April 3, 2023
