3-month weather outlook issued
SOUTHLAND – (INT) - La Niña is fading and El Niño appears to be developing.

After a relatively dry April in Southern California, the climatological dry season seemed to arrive in a hurry. A late season storm on May 4th may have been wet enough the keep the Inland Empire’s total monthly precipitation around average.

In its May-through-July outlook, the Climate Prediction Center gives California equal chances of above or below normal precipitation and temperatures.

El Nino is likely to be firmly in place by later this summer.
