HOLLYWOOD - Universal’s Fast X raced to a debut of $318.9 million globally as the core franchise winds down. The Hollywood Reporter noted that’s a promising start for the 10th installment even if the movie is seeing lower returns in the United States.

Its global opening makes it the No. 2 debut of the year behind The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Internationally, it is the top opening of 2023 so far.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is now in its third week.
Book Club: The Next Chapter, which is meant for older females came in No. 4, while Evil Dead Rise rounded out the top five.
