Community Resilience Centers are coming
SACRAMENTO – (INT) – Community Resilience Centers (CRCs) are about to join county cooling centers to help Californians beat the intense summer heat.

The CRC’s will also provide protection from other climate-driven extreme weather. Hazards like wildfire smoke and extreme heat are increasingly longer lasting and more frequent in California.

Governor Newsom announced Friday May 26th that nearly $200 million is now available to help communities build the resilience centers. The program will be managed by the California Strategic Growth Council (SGC).
