SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – With a new school year underway, student truancy appears to be an ongoing issue.

In San Bernardino, Operation Student Recovery takes a proactive approach to supporting students who have not attended school so far this year.

Teams of school representatives were joined by Mayor Helen Tran and youth probation officers to visit homes of 409 students who have not attended school since classes resumed July 31st. The students were urged to return to class. They were given assistance in overcoming whatever barriers they were trying to overcome.
