Funds will target criminal flash mobs
SACRAMENTO - (INT) - In a strike against organized retail crime, fifty-five law enforcement agencies across the state will share in a 267-million dollar competitive grant.

Among the Inland Empire police agencies recommended for funding are the Palm Springs and Hemet police departments and the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) will approve the funding that could be in the pipeline By October 1st.

It will be distributed directly to police departments, sheriffs’ departments, and district attorney offices in every region of the state to arrest and prosecute more suspects.
