San Bernardino County voters showed primary disinterest
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – A week after the Super Tuesday primary election, more than 10-thousand ballots have yet to be counted in San Bernardino County.

Voter turnout lagged with only about one in every four registered voters casting ballots. More than 1-point-1 million ballots were issued. 39 percent voted Republican, 25 percent Democrat and 23 percent American Independent.

In a sign that polling places may become political history, only 3 percent of the county’s ballots were cast there. Twenty-two percent were returned by mail.
