Killers of wild burros up for sentencing
RIVERSIDE – (INT) – Two poachers were in federal court at Riverside Monday pleading guilty to shooting and killing wild burros on the Mojave Desert.

Prosecutors say the two men were dressed in tactical gear, including ballistic helmets equipped with night vision goggles, illegally possessed rifles and over 4-thousand rounds of ammunition when they drove into the desert near Yermo one November night in 2021.

Three burros were shot and killed.

Christopher James Arnet, 32, and Cameron John Feikema, 36, return to court July 8th for sentencing.
